It all started with our desire to create a relaxed and welcoming local place that makes inspiring coffee. The kind of place that could come to interact with one another, meet friends, relax, and read. We aim to bring out the loveliness in everything we do, from our specialty coffee to delicious food, only using the highest quality ingredients in what we hope will be the most friendly atmosphere.

Coffee is at the heart of what we offer. Harpenden lacked an independent coffee culture and we wanted to set out to be inspirational for those who loved the old-fashioned hospitality. We want to serve the most exceptional specialty coffees in an environment that's inviting and friendly. Our Coffee menu shows amazing coffees grown by incredible coffee farmers.
We are delighted to serve beans from Union Roasters who became one of the first specialty coffee roasters in the UK. Union is founded on the principle of marrying high quality specialty coffee with responsible sourcing, making coffee better for everyone from drinkers to farmers.
